Goals & Organization 

The Hellenic Golf Federation was founded in October, 1981.The main goals of the Federation are to promote and support the proliferation of golf in Greece. The Federation's activities are supported by the General Secretariat for Sports of the Greek Ministry of Culture and corporate sponsors.

At present there are seven athletic clubs in the Federation. They include:The Glyfada Golf Club of Athens, the “Athina” Ladies Golf Club of Greece, the Attikos Golf Club for Seniors, the Afandou Rodos Golf Club, the Porto Carras Golf Club, the Corfu Golf Club and the Afandou 2002 Golf Club.

The Hellenic Golf Federation is a member of the European Golf Association
(www.ega-golf.ch) and the International Golf Federation (www.internationalgolffederation.org).
The Hellenic Golf Federation organizes domestic and international golf tournaments and participates in golf tournaments throughout the world such as the World Team Amateur Championship, the European Golf Championship and the Mediterranean Golf Games.

The Hellenic Golf Federation has organized international tournaments such as:
The 11th Mediterranean Golf Games in 1992 at the Glyfada Golf Course
The 1999-2002 Temes Seniors Open, part of the European Seniors P.G.A. Tour
The Hellenic International Amateur Championship every year since 1982 and The 2004 European Club Cup.                     

The Hellenic Golf Federation has a seven member Board of Directors:
