The International Olympic Academy Golf Course, a 18-hole golf course, designed by two-time Masters champion and Ryder Cup legend José Marίa Olazábal, is set above the coastline and offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Bay of Navarino and the Ionian Sea. The International Olympic Academy Golf Course is in excellent condition, the weather is set to be hot so expect fast greens.

The Team Captains must register their team as soon as possible following their arrival at the venue (with up to date handicap) at the Tournament Office at Navarino Hills and no later than 15:00 on Tuesday 1 August. All details concerning the Championship will be given at registration. Each player can visit our official site on a specific page called ETS 2023, with all championship information.

The International Olympic Academy Golf Course, is one of two 18-hole par-72 golf courses designed for Costa Navarino by the world-famous golfer and two-time Masters champion José María Olazábal. It is located at Navarino Hills, the 125-hectare golf haven named the “World’s Best New Golf Development” at the 2020 World Golf Awards and one of the most anticipated new projects worldwide in the golfing community.
In these rolling green hills, the 6366-meter International Olympic Academy Golf Course course overlooks the historic Navarino Bay and the Ionian Sea. Olazábal describes the spectacular sea view as “breathtaking” and almost impossible to keep your eyes off.
World’s first International Olympic Academy Golf Course at Costa Navarino
The International Olympic Academy, the Hellenic Olympic Committee and Costa Navarino unveiled Europe’s next big step in developing golf, one which celebrates the fact that golf is the perfect expression of the Olympic ideal.
While Greece is still a relative newcomer on the international golf scene, one of the sport’s main advantages, the fact that it can effortlessly become part of anyone’s life, regardless of their age, gender or physical condition, goes hand in hand with the ancient Greek philosophy regarding sports, known today as Olympism. When Baron Pierre de Coubertin decided to revive the Olympic Games in 1896, he took to heart the way in which the ancient Greeks saw physical education – as a part of everyday life for everyone, as important as any other education, and with the goal of reaching personal excellence.
This lesson is at the heart of the work of the National Olympic Committees around the world, who strive to inspire athletic activity by creating educational programs. It is also a goal of the International Olympic Academy (IOA), which is creating an international cultural center in Ancient Olympia, and which has partnered with Costa Navarino and the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) to create the world’s first International Olympic Academy Golf Course.

During the championship, transport will be organized daily from all listed hotels to the golf club.
The Team Fee per team is 750 Euro. It will cover airport transfers, official hotel/golf club transfers, use of the venue facilities, team photographs, trolleys and social events (4 players and a captain).
Plus charge is 200 Euro for the additional team members (advice giver, club official, other) which cover the airport transfer, official hotel/golf club transfer, Opening Ceremony and Farewell Dinner.

• Medical service will be provided during the whole championship.
• Golf bags can be stored at the golf club storage facility.
• The changing rooms are situated in the Clubhouse.
• Dress code for Opening and Closing Ceremonies is official team uniform.
• The Driving Range will open one hour prior to the first starting time and will close one hour after the last group has finished their round.
• Restaurant facilities are available at the Clubhouse.
• Payment of expenses at the golf club can be made by credit card.
• The official practice day is 1 August. Each team will receive the draw for the practice round ahead of the event.
• Mail Boxes will be located in the Clubhouse. All Captains are asked to check them regularly for important information.
• Pull trolleys are available.
• Caddies; No caddies are permitted except for fellow team players (Terms of Competition)
• The Pro Shop offers a wide range of golf equipment and clothing.

The Championship shall be played under the Rules of Golf as laid down by The R&A, the EGA Hard Card, Generic Terms of Competition and Regulations (all available here: http://www.ega-golf.ch/events) as well as the local rules approved by the Championship Committee at the championship.
The official practice day is Tuesday, 1 August.
Starting will be allocated by EGA Championship Committee.
One ball only may be played during practice rounds, with the following exceptions:
a) If a player misses the green with his shot to the green, he may play one additional shot.
b) Where the Rules of Golf apply (e.g. provisional ball).
c) A player may practice putting, chipping or bunker play, provided play is not delayed.
Players should discontinue such practice immediately when the following group is waiting to play.
Practice balls cannot be used on the championship course.
Only team players are permitted to play the practice rounds.
